The Digital Health Design Living Lab (DHD LL) is a co-creative, interdisciplinary hub that brings together a wide range of healthcare stakeholders with experts from the three initiating Zurich universities (ZHdK, UZH, and ZHAW) to actively shape the future of digital healthcare together.
At DHD LL, we develop and implement innovative solutions – from products and processes to services – for the (digital) healthcare system based on individual and societal needs as well as the latest findings from interdisciplinary research. We also generate new knowledge and promote interdisciplinary skills.
Together, we design and implement projects in the (digital) healthcare context. We support, develop, research and implement.
We design and offer educational programs aimed at training professionals for interdisciplinary collaboration in the (digital) health sector at various qualification levels – from undergraduate and advanced study programs to part-time certificates and doctoral opportunities.
Through joint dialogue and collaboration with experts and the public, we aim to raise awareness of digital health and promote innovative, value-adding ideas.
The DHD LL core team is made up of experts from the fields of design and design research, medical ethics, and health promotion. We work closely with university hospitals, patient organizations, professional associations, research institutions, healthcare providers, and the public to ensure that the tailored solutions are implemented into practice successfully in a way that meets need. Our participatory approach takes into account diverse perspectives and relies on community involvement.
