My research sits at the intersection of philosophy and technology, concentrating on the ethical challenges of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare. I explore issues such as algorithmic prediction of care preferences for incapacitated patients, the ethically sensitive design of digital health interventions using mixed reality to manage work-related stress, and the relationship between explainability and trust in AI. The DHD LL offers a dynamic and innovative research environment, where interdisciplinary theories and methods from design, philosophy of AI, and human-AI interaction converge to create impactful applications for healthcare and society.
